The Return of The Eyebrow Pencil

I love developing and making make-up and usually get busy every Spring with batches of what I expect to be using the coming 12 months.

But lately, things have been a bit different.

My usual making-up making activities has been very limited because I have moved (a couple of times). Moving to a new address is always a serious time and energy thief, and doing it twice is worse.

Stockroom Delights

Luckily, there is almost always some of my make-up in stock because I keep samples for monitoring. This has been my go-to during all the recent moving madness. It has proven to be a great opportunity to test product stability of items even waaay past the normal use-by date. (so far, all good!)

The downside: rapidly depleting stock.

Going Going Gone

The first panic situation presented itself when my stock of eyebrow pencils (and every kind of useable eyebrow coloring) ran out.

It became necessary to purchase a commercially-made-eyebrow-something.

If you are a long-time reader around here, you know why I use the word panic and might even be snickering a bit already.

Eyebrow pencils are what got me started making my own makeup in the first place. It felt like I was the sole person on the planet who suffered from constantly itchy eyebrows.

But that's history, and this is now.

The Purchased Product

When you can understand an INCI list (and can read those teensy tiny letters), it's relatively easy to sort through what's on offer and find a suitable product.

It's also a huge plus that the cosmetics world these days seems to have a much wider array of choices for people with super sensitive skin.

As for the product, this eyebrow pencil works quite well (no itching) and is so easy to use even I can get a decent result with it.

But what I really fell in love with is the snazzy and fun dial-up container that reveals a perfect brow-shaped tip.

The formula looks interesting enough to take a closer look, so we'll be doing just that in a coming post.

Meantime, it is quite a pleasant experience to discover one might not need to feel quite as panicky as previously if one runs out of make-up.
