Glycerites and Herbal Extracts Q and A

It was my distinct pleasure to do this Q & A hosted by Kelly Gill at Formula Botanica's online public Facebook group on the 19th of April.

There were over 200 people in attendance and scads of inspiring questions that had me hard at work trying to get every question answered within the allotted hour (and I almost made it too).

I really meant to post about this before the event so you had the opportunity to sign up and attend, but before you get mad at me, I have some good news.

If you had previously signed up to attend, the the Q & A is available – in its entirety – for your perusing pleasure!

You'll find the whole thing if you visit this page.

hi Lisa,
It seems the link to the Q &A on glycerites is not functioning.

HI Anon - I think you have to be a member of the Facebook group to access. :)

Hello Lise, after seeing your website (recommended by formulabotanica) i have tried a few! But i have two questions if you can please help
1. My beetroot glycerite has changed color from beautiful red to black(it has a preservative, not exposed to sunlight, and PH is fine)
2. If i prepare a product with my own glycerite what is the proper document i should provide? I mean should i create my own msds?

Thank you in advance!

Hey there Anon - I would have to know much more about your process of making your glycerite before being able to answer you in a useful way. One of my own beetroot glycerites is a year old and has not changed color, so it could be numerous things.
The documentation of your glycerite is made with the help of your safety assessor. You will need to supply them with detailed information as to your process.

If you want a one on one with me about formula or any process specific questions, you are welcome to visit my shop and book a consultation.
Hope this helps!
