Sponsorship - Because Ads Suck

You may have noticed things look a little different around here.

I've done a bit of housecleaning to celebrate a milestone: LisaLiseBlog passed 2 million hits earlier this year. I'm happy to say the numbers seem to keep climbing steadily too (insert happy dance and a several joyous whoops).

But there's another reason the blog has been updated.

Time is Money

Even though this blog functions in part as a journal of my research and work, it also demands a healthy portion of time and energy to keep it up. Choosing between paid work and blogging isn't easy when you love blogging as much as I do.

So Allow Ads Like Everyone Else on the Planet Maybe?

I'm not usually inclined to say no to people who ask nicely, but I have been adamant about refusing every single request for advertising on this blog since the beginning of time (yes, really).

And because I am the type of person who gets annoyed at pop-ups, animations, blips, sounds and other unexpected diddly-dads that do their best to distract while I'm trying to read, the very thought of putting you lovely readers through torture of this type has been unthinkable.

Well, it still is unthinkable.

There Are Alternatives

After saying no to a gazillion requests for ad space (you think I exaggerate? You would be correct – it's much less. Only about 3/4 of a gazillion), and since my stats seem to keep rising, I'm introducing an alternative option.

As of the beginning of August 2017 (that would be today), it is possible to book a sponsorship spot on this blog.

What's A Sponsorship Spot?

See that box in the sidebar on the left? If you're on a mobile device, you may need to click the menu icon (3 lines at the top left) to reveal the sidebar. That's the very first LisaLiseBlog sponsor: Colin's Cosmetic Consultancy.

You will most likely find LisaLiseBlog sponsors are relevant to cosmetics-making, natural beauty, green science and/or planet-friendliness in one form or another.

In short - I expect you will find the sponsors of this blog worth a visit.

Sponsors of this blog are exclusive – only one at a time.

I agree - ads suck when you are reading interesting blog with beautiful photos in it. Your new system is much more sophisticated than ads! Hope other famous bloggers start using it too :)
