My skin feels so good. I followed up with a coffee infused apricot kernel oil w/MuruMuru butter. My skin loves this new way of cleaning it without stripping my skin. I've made three batches now; I did the chamomile one first, which I found a touch too scratchy. Then I did the coconut free oatmeal one, which was just lovely. The real magic was the second batch of the oatmeal one...i added a little dribble of peppermint oil and poured it all into a jar. It keeps very well at room temp, none of my batches have gone off prematurely. My skin feels so smooth, moisturized, and the texture of my skin has improved drastically! I'm so happy with the results and I'm thrilled I found you and your recipes! Thank you so much, you've revolutionized my skin are regimen! I happen to be making my fourth batch now :) Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2131647485414323768.post-77450889554540193372012-12-04T21:02:18.382+01:002012-12-04T21:02:18.382+01:00Hi Ashley! For eye makeup, try a few drops of almond, coconut or olive oil on a moist cotton round. If you use waterproof mascara, you will need to up the oil amount. The bars are semi-firm (kind of like chocolate that is beginning to go soft) and are easily mashed into the hand. Thy need to be pretty soft upon application (which they are at room temp), but firmer if kept cool (stored in the fridge). If you want to steer completely clear of anything that might block pores, you may want to keep coconut oil out of any cleansing bar mixture you try. Other than that, you might want to try adding either tea tree and/or lavender essential oil to your mixture. Use a max of 12 drops per 100grams of mixture (1 bar). These 2 oils are good for combo, oily and acne-prone skin. They are also well tolerated. :)LisaLisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14566391113401195535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2131647485414323768.post-28383869773832352972012-09-09T17:56:06.148+02:002012-09-09T17:56:06.148+02:00Hey there Anonymous,

They are a mixture of fats (which both attract dirt and moisturize) and clays (which cleanse and nourish), so you are going to have a completely different feeling using them - it may seem a bit odd to begin with if you are used to soap-based cleansers (which often tend leave the skin dry).

You can actually leave the applied cleansing bar mixture on your face for 5-10 minutes for a cleansing and moisturizing mask effect, or just massage on and rinse off for a 'cleanse and go' effect.

If you decide to give one a try, I'd love to hear your impressions! So far, I haven't met anyone who has tried them that didn't like them.LisaLisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14566391113401195535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2131647485414323768.post-60699407163255727812012-09-09T05:47:04.243+02:002012-09-09T05:47:04.243+02:00I have never used a cleansing bar before, is it su...I have never used a cleansing bar before, is it suppose to foam up?
