Merry Happy Holidays

Tonight, all Scandinavians make merry and celebrate Christmas. It is indeed the Eve where the family Christmas dinner is enjoyed, games are played, and presents are opened.

The day-long family festivity is filled with home-baked goodies, traditional roast pork and duck, mulled wine, singing and dancing. The evening culminates with the celebratory opening of gifts.

For many children, today is agonizingly long, but the day is also filled with activities to keep them occupied – baking, table setting, watching the Christmas specials – there's plenty to do.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Yalda, Kwanzaa or any of the other many winter festivals, I wish you a wonderful holiday season.

Now excuse me, I have a roast duck to check on!
