On-The-Go Luxury Skin Care on a Budget

Some people don't really want on-the-go skincare, but because of their demanding schedules, simply need on-the-go skincare.

Take parents with small children. Imagine this:

  • The luxury of a shower without interruptions
  • A full 5 minutes to apply make-up
  • Enough 'me time' to style the hair

These simple luxuries may very well seem like a distant dream to parents with babies or toddlers. But never fear! You don't have to wait until your child is a fully grown before you can once again allow yourself a few extra minutes of me time.

You Are Appreciated

I herald you dedicated and loving parents for putting your childs' needs first. You – of all people – deserve extra special pampering!

So, just for you – here is a list of all-natural, instant-satisfaction beauty tips that will fit most skin types, hair types, budgets, and time tables.

Now Go!

Be Pampered!

Immediately!

On-the-go Moisturizing Face Wash

Product: 100% raw honey (the kind that crystallizes)
How to: apply 1 teaspoon neat to moist (not wet) face and neck. Leave on for 2-5 minutes (multitasking moms can use the time to brush teeth).

Tip: Even if you don't have time for the leave-on, the honey will cleanse the skin beautifully. Just apply and massage the face and neck and rinse off. Enjoy your smooth, clean and gorgeous skin.
Extra tip: Tie back your hair before applying. If you should happen to get some in your hair - don't worry - it rinses out in a flash with plain water.

Instant Skin Balancing Skin Tonic

Product: Aloe Vera Juice
How to: wet a cotton round and swipe over face after cleansing. Alternatively, spritz directly over the face after cleansing.

Tip: Let your skin air dry.
Extra tip: In a super hurry? Cleanse and balance your skin all in one go with pure aloe vera juice. Soak 3 cotton rounds. Swipe across the face to cleanse. (The third cotton round should be free of dirt or residue - otherwise, continue until the cotton round is clean after use).

Face Moisturizer in a Flash

Product: Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, or Jojoba
How to: Drip 5-6 drops into the palms and rub between hands. Apply to face and neck with upward strokes. Use alone or under day cream.

Tip: You may already have jojoba in the house. Check the ingredients label of your baby's oil. Many baby oils are 100% pure jojoba.

5-minute Scalp Soother, Hair Mask and Pre-Shampoo Treatment

Product: Virgin Coconut Oil
How to: apply neat to dry hair and work through. Massage scalp lightly. Leave on for 5 minutes. Apply shampoo directly, work through and rinse.

Tip: do this pre-showering and the only extra time you're taking is the minute it takes to apply the oil to your hair. You may find there is no need of hair conditioner with this method.
Extra tip: You don't need to apply a lot. A teaspoon of oil is enough for short, fine hair.

Super Soothing Night Cream

Product: 100% Pure Shea Butter (refined if you prefer less scent)
How to: Warm a small amount of butter between palms and smooth over face and neck.

Tip: Pure Shea butter is great for skin can be bought from health food stores or cosmetics ingredients suppliers. (Check the sidebar at the very bottom for links to suppliers).
