Lash Nutrition - The Mascara is Named

This name came to me while I was brushing my teeth. (Yeah okay, maybe that was too much information). But it fits. The main goal of developing this mascara was to create a color mascara that was actually good for lashes,  one that could 'feed' or nourish lashes while functioning as a mascara.

Lash Nutrition Mascara.

Makes sense, don't you think?

The Nutritional Ingredients
For softening and conditioning: castor oil, jojoba, stearic acid, glycerine
For nourishing and encouraging growth: panthenol, caffeine, plant proteins (wheat and corn)
For texture, structure and hold: carnuba wax, carraghenen
For color: activated charcoal mixed with iron oxides

Whatsit-gonna-cost?
Numbers are still being crunched. I will be able to take orders but will need to 'collect pre-orders' for a batch at a time in order to keep the costs as low as possible for everyone.

I will update right here as soon as there are solid numbers on everything.

Wow, that took a lot of dedication and determination to get it right, which I admire. Do you have any tips for me as I venture out to make my own? Also, I'm very thankful for this blog, as it is a GREAT resource.
Sincerely,
Noel

Hi Noel,

Thank you for your kind words! If you are just starting our making your own products, I advise starting with the suggested recipes/formulas often supplied by the companies selling the ingredients. When you've gotten a feel for the ingredients and how they behave, you can start tweaking the formula. I can heartily recommend visiting Susan Barclay Nichols blog 'Point of Interest' as well. She posts many recipes and how-to's as well. Best of luck with it!

Good morning,
I found your site through Susan Barclay Nichols. I am in awe; the two of you are brilliant women. Thank you for the detailed information you provide. The dedication to your craft is inspiring. I make basic skin products for myself and am now experimenting with mascara. Your ingredient resources are really going to help me fine tune my recipe. Thank you so much! :)
